The Granny square poncho I showed was inspired by a vintage magazine poncho. It can be found in Woman’s Day Granny Squares Number 2, published 1974.

I visited a local yarn shop: The Black Sheep in San Diego, CA and I purchased two yarns. One was from Malabrigo Yarn called Arroyo in the colorway Arco Iris. The other one was a gorgeous yarn from Trendsetter Yarns. This yarn is called Olives for Oliver.

Crochet Luna Podcast Episode 4 – Summer of Romance CAL

Welcome to Episode 4 of the Crochet Luna Podcast

Here is information on the Summer of Romance CAL hosted by Crochet Cakes and Crochet Luna.

Use #SRCAL for your WIP and your FO.  This CAL will run from June 3rd to August 5th.

Choose a couple from Books, Movies, TV, and showcase your couple with a crochet, knitted or any other hand crafted project.  You can use any pattern, yarn, fabric, etc. that will help you complete your project.

I will host the chatter thread where you can post your WIP and Clarisabeth of Crochetcakes will host the FO thread on Ravelry.  The FO thread is a no chatter thread so please only post the picture of your finished object and the source of your inspiration.

My current WIP is designer’s Kat Goldin’s  Doris Shawl.  I am using a combination of Mrs. Crosby Loves to Play Yarn that was exclusively dyed for the Yarn Over Truck and that I picked up at the Vista Fiber Arts Festival (Vista, CA) last year and Berroco Folio Luxe in the color 4603.
